Obituary of Ole Myhre Jr.

Ole Myhre Jr. passed away on December 25, 2025, at the age of 57. Ole was born in Staten Island, New York, where he grew up and spent most of his life. Staten Island was home in every sense, and it's where he made lifelong friends. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he studied computer science and economics. Ole spent his career at Clove Lakes Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Staten Island. He started out working in technology and later moved into finance, a path that suited his sharp mind and steady dedication. Ole loved to travel and was always up for a new experience. He appreciated good music, a really good meal, and he was a devoted sports fan, especially when it came to the New York Yankees. More than anything, Ole loved being with the people he cared about. He showed up for others, was deeply loyal, and had a quiet generosity. Ole was a wonderful older brother, and the bond he shared with his sisters was rooted in deep love. Ole is survived by many family members and friends who loved him dearly. He will be profoundly missed. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel "Pixie" Myhre; his father, Ole Myhre Sr.; and his sister, Kjersti Myhre Cronin. A memorial service will be held on January 2 at Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10314. Visitations will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you do something that brings you joy and share what you did with us. That might mean sitting down for a good meal together with loved ones and picking up the check which is a very Ole thing to do. Ole, we already miss you so much.
