Obituary of Michael Anthony Boyd, Sr.
Michael Boyd Obituary for Matthew’s website
Michael Anthony Boyd Sr. was born on February 3, 1966, to Leonard Sr. and Georgina Boyd. A proud Staten Island native, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. Michael was the youngest of three siblings, two brothers who preceded him in death, Leonard Jr. and Ricardo Romano. Michael’s love and laughter filled every room he entered. From childhood, sports were a part of who he was—first baseball, then football, which became his greatest passion. He played at McKee High school and earned a football scholarship, a testament to his strength, discipline, and determination.
Michael went on to build a successful career as a Wall Street broker, but his true purpose was always his family. He worked hard, loved deeply, and carried the weight of providing and protecting those he loved without hesitation.
He leaves behind his loving wife Pheona, two beloved children, Michael Jr. (Zoey) and Breanna, four cherished stepchildren, Seth (Abby), Marc (Denisa), Dane, and Alec, seven grandchildren, Xavier, Alexander, Xanai, Penelope, Sophia, Cooper, and Luke, all of whom were his heart and his pride. Michael also leaves to mourn, two devoted aunts, Doris Mann and Edith Boyd, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Michael will be remembered for his unwavering love, the laughter, his resilience, and the way he showed up for his family every single day. Though he is no longer with us, his love will be with us always.
