Obituary of Maryann Aiello

Maryann "Mar" Aiello, 73 passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026 at JFK University Medical Center in Edison, NJ. Born in Brooklyn on July 1st 1952 she was the daughter of the late Thomas Carmisione and Angelina DellItalia. Maryann met and married her late husband Diego J Aiello on November 28, 1969 and raised their 4 children in Woodhaven, Queens. Maryann dedicated her life to being a home maker. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Nana and Great Nana. Maryann's greatest joy was spending time with and celebrating any and everything with her family. Taking care of them and everyone she loved was a full-time job and a great accomplishment. Maryann was full of life and love. Her favorite past time was a good party. Any chance to cook, share a great meal, socialize, play cards, dance, gamble, laugh and love her family and friends was Mar's idea of a good time. A beloved Mother, Nana, Great Nana and Sister, she is survived by her son Salvatore and his wife Sabrina, Her son Thomas, her Son Dominick and his wife Tara and her daughter Josephine and her husband Steven. 6 beautiful Grandchildren Dominick, Samantha, Salvatore, Steven, Nicholas, Angelina and 2 great grandchildren Ezckiel and Sianna. Her sister Jackie, Brothers Sammy and Harry his wife Elinor. Several nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly. A visitation will be held from 3 to 8PM Tuesday, January 6th at Matthews Funeral Parlor, 2508 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10314.
