Obituary of Matilda Jane Tulino

Matilda Jane Tulino 12/15/1946- 12/22/2025 Matilda Jane Tulino (nee Peat) 79, was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 15, 1946. The middle child of the late George and Sally Peat, Jane was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bruce Peat (Jeanne). Janie was happily married for 55 years to Ernie who passed away in 2021. She is survived by her loving children, Anthony Tulino (Amy), Jennifer Lipari (Michael), and Jodi McSwegan (Matthew); dear grandchildren Anthony D'Ippolito (Nelsy), Michael J. Lipari (Nicole), Lynn-Elizabeth Giles (Edward), Evan McSwegan (Jessie), Jason Lipari, Jillian McSwegan, Corrine Lipari, Lauren Tulino, and Nicole Tulino; three great-grandchildren and many beloved family members and friends. For 53 years, she lived in and maintained her home in Grant City. Nanny Jane, as affectionately called by her grandchildren, loved sharing stories and pictures of them. Jane was a devoted mother and a friend to many. She enjoyed long telephone conversations and playing board and card games with her children, grandchildren, and friends. She taught others the game of Mahjong, in which she planned many outings and afternoons to play the tile game. Janie loved to read and crochet; she was a born salesperson, working for many years in sales. She devoted her life to her husband and children, making sure everyone was taken care of and happy. She was proud that her biggest accomplishment was raising her family. She will be missed dearly.
