Obituary of Michael J. McKenna
Michael McKenna, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished uncle, passed away peacefully on January 10th, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on January 17, 1957, Michael lived a life defined by loyalty and quiet strength. As a husband, he was a steady partner and provided constant advice. As a father, he led with sternness, equity, and integrity. As a grandfather, he found new purpose in every smile, hug, and shared moment. To his nieces and nephews, he was a constant presence—always ready with encouragement, and support of any kind.
Michael will be remembered for his frankness, advice, and photography skills. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maryann; his children, John, Jessica, and Michael; their spouses, Brianna and Danielle; his grandchildren, John and Presley, who were the light of his life; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Danielle, Anthony, Christopher, and Dominic, siblings, siblings in laws, and friends who will continue to carry his memory forward.
A celebration of his life will be held on January 14th at 3:00-7:00 PM at Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, NY. A service will be held at the funeral home at 6PM. His legacy of love, family, and faith will live on in all who knew him.
