Obituary of Angel R. Kiste

Angel Kiste, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and pillar of his family, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He lived a life defined by hard work, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved most. Angel was a man who always put his family first. He believed in showing up, working hard, and doing whatever was necessary to provide for the people he loved.

Even in his final moments, his concern was not for himself, but for others worried that his grandson was there with him and might be late for work. That selflessness defined who he was. More than 60 years ago, Angel came to America in pursuit of a dream. With determination, resilience, and an unbreakable work ethic, he built a life from the ground up. Because of his courage and sacrifices, generations of his family are here today, benefiting from the foundation he created. His journey and dedication are the reason so many of us have the opportunities we do.

Angel shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Aura, to whom he was married for 60 years. Together they built a family rooted in love, strength, and tradition. Their partnership was the foundation of everything he worked so hard to create. Angel had a tough exterior, but beneath it was a man with a heart full of love especially for his grandchildren, Justin , Daniella, David, Christian, Angel, and Maya, whom he adored beyond words. He showed his love through his actions, guidance, and the countless lessons he passed down. He taught his sons and grandsons the value of being a family man, working hard, and always doing the right thing. One of his favorite stories, especially during snowy weather, was of a day spent shoveling with his grandson Justin. After finishing, Justin threw his shovel over his shoulder, not realizing snow was still on it. The snow came crashing down his back, sending him into a panic, a moment Angel never stopped laughing about. Every time it snowed, he would retell the story with the same joy, as if it had just happened. It was moments like those that showed his warmth, humor, and love for his family. Angel was the backbone of the Kiste family ,the steady presence that held everyone together.

His passing is a tremendous loss, and his absence will be felt deeply. Yet, even in our sorrow, we are grateful for the time we had with him, the lessons he taught us, and the love he gave so freely. He now rests peacefully in God’s kingdom, watching over his family just as he always did. Though he may be gone from our sight, his spirit, values, and love will live on through every life he touched. Angel will forever be remembered as a beloved husband to Aura, a devoted father to Rudy, Byron and Gus, a loving grandfather, and the heart of his family. May he rest in peace
