Jim was my older cousin; fourteen years separated us in age. Jim was close to my dear Dad, his Uncle Buddy, while growing up. Our family left Staten Island in the late 1960s but Jim’s fondness for our dad remained through the many years since then.
Our paths crossed a little in recent years. The photo shown on the Memorial page demonstrated Jim’s persona well, I think, as does the very well written remembrance.
Jim’s memory and legacy continues in the lives of Maria, his children and his grandchildren, just beginning their young lives.

Jimmy & Family,
We just saw you a few weeks ago and it was good to see an old face. Some of our earliest memories were hanging out at the South Shore Video store with you and Jimmy Joe and the rest of the crew! My brothers and I will always remember you with a big smile. It was a pleasure to have known you and your family.
God Bless You & Your Family

I met Jim shortly after he moved to Rossmoor and joined the men's golf league. We played together many times before his health prevented him from participating. He always had a smile and a cheerful disposition when I saw him the last few years at our many mutual functions. He will be missed greatly.

Jimmy was the best of the best. He was the kind of man that no matter how long we have them it’s not long enough and he’s gone too soon He was like a big brother to me. Marie is like my big sister. He was always so kind and comforting and strong I used to just love to hear the sound of his voice. He was always so good and pleasant and uplifting just a man full of love. I will be sad forever and I pray that someday we can all meet again. God willing rest in peace Jimmy you lived a wonderful life. God bless you. Theresa

We met Jim and Maria early on in our moving into Rossmoor and Mutual 16. We socialized with them at Rossmoor functions and played Pickle Ball together. I had the opportunity to get to know both when I featured them in our monthly Mutual Newsletter. Jim was gracious during the interview immediately knew we had a common denominator between us...Our love for Doo Wop! Jim sang in a Doo Wop group to earn money part time but also because he loved the music and the harmonies they created, and I sang in a neighborhood "Street Corner" group. We even serenaded the Mutual's "Baking Club" one afternoon after inviting ourselves, along with several other men to enjoy their baked goods. Jim always had a kind word and I can't ever remember him being negative, as he was always upbeat and smiling. I cherished the time we were able to spend together and know that he will be watching over Maria and his many friends here in Rossmoor. God Bless you Jim and may your memory live on with all of us here in Mutual 16 at Rossmoor.

Jimmy and I were best of friends. We worked together at Con Ed for many years. We had a lot of good times and I learned a lot from him. When I went into my final phase at Con Ed in construction management,he was my mentor. On a lighter note we were involved with the Holy Name golf trips in the Poconos for 20 years. We had a lot of good times. I can remember them alll. I will miss you terribly Jimbo. I love you

Jimmy was one of the best when they are one of the best they are gone too soon and we never have them long enough. He was like the big brother I never had. And Marie is the sister I always have. No matter how long we live life is very very short. It’s a precious gift from God, but it’s only meant to be temporary and when we lose the ones we love we’re reminded just how temporary it is. But Jimmy knew to love while he was here so we have all that love when he’s not here. I’m so grateful I got to talk to him at Christmas and hear his voice. I always felt when I heard Jimmy speak. I could hear Irish music playing in the back. He always has such a soothing way about him God bless you, Jimmy rest in peace, and I know someday we’ll all be together again God willing Theresa
