Obituary of Richard J. Fattorusso

Richard Fattorusso passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026.

Born on January 31 in Brooklyn, New York, Richard later made his home in the Travis neighborhood of Staten Island, where he built a life centered around family, hard work, and community.

Richard met the love of his life, Cathy, when they were both 18 years old. Their bond grew into a lifelong partnership, and they were married on November 12, sharing many decades of love and devotion.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Richard spent his career as a boiler mechanic, most recently working at Ace Atlas. He took pride in his work and in the life he provided for his family.

Richard enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, including playing scratch-off tickets, Quick Draw, and spending time with his beloved adopted dog, Buddy. Above all else, his greatest joy was his family, whom he loved deeply.

He was predeceased by his mother, Isabella Venturino.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Cathy; his three sons, John and his wife Megan, Andrew and his partner Ashley, and Richard and his wife Jena; his sister, Toni Haynia; his brother, Thomas Fattorusso; and his four cherished grandchildren, Quinn, Stella, May, and Richard.

Richard will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his strong work ethic, and the warmth he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

May he rest in eternal peace, and may God hold him in His loving embrace until we meet again.
