Obituary of Kathleen Kogut
Kathleen Kogut, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on November 11, 1942, Kathleen lived a life centered around family, love, and simple joys.
She was the devoted wife of Joseph Kogut, with whom she shared many years of love and partnership. Kathleen’s greatest pride and happiness came from her family. She was a caring and dedicated mother to her sons, Joseph and Michael. Her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother brought her endless joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Kathleen found happiness in life’s quiet comforts—watching her favorite television shows, getting lost in a good book, and spending time surrounded by those she loved most. She was known for her spirited personality and her playful arguments with her great-granddaughter, moments that will be remembered with laughter and love.
She had a warm heart and a strong presence, and she made everyone feel like family. Kathleen was truly loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and her kindness and humor will live on in the memories she leaves behind.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph and his wife Judy, and Michael and his wife Kim; along with her beloved grandchildren Jonathan, Kelly, Joseph and Kelly and great-grandchildren Erin and Cody.
Kathleen’s life was a beautiful reflection of love, devotion, and family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Family and friends may visit Matthew Funeral Home on Tuesday 3/31 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday 4/1 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Pity Church. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
