George Litos, age 75, of Staten Island, passed away surrounded by family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of love, music, and community. A devoted husband, cherished father, and proud grandfather, George’s life was defined by his dedication to family, faith, and friends.
A lifelong Greek Orthodox Christian, George was deeply involved in his church, playing the bouzouki at the annual Holy Trinity–St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church festival and serving on the church board. An accomplished and talented musician, his musical talent brought joy to many Greek Americans, especially as a member of the Litos Brothers Orchestra, which he co-founded with his brother Andrew.
George loved coaching his daughter’s soccer team, the Koukles (Dolls), filling practices and games with laughter, playful antics, and countless joyful moments that the girls will always remember.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia; daughter Catherine; son Nicholas; son-in-law Panayiotis; grandchildren Alexander and Sebastian; and brother Andrew. He will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the music he played that filled the lives of all who knew him.
George was a grateful kidney transplant recipient, receiving the life-saving gift from his son, Nicholas. In honor of this remarkable act of love and the gift of life, donations in his memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation in lieu of flowers.
