Emanuel Catello Vizzotti, age 78, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Monday, March 30, 2026. He was a devoted husband, cherished father, proud grandfather, and staunch American patriot. He loved his family fiercely and was known for his kindness and generosity. These principles defined his life - a life well lived.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1947 to the late Anthony and Thomasina (nee Marra) Vizzotti, he settled on Staten Island in 1987. In 1983, he married the love of his life, Andrea Vizzotti (nee Napolitano), a marriage they shared for 43 years. He is the cherished father of Lisa Vizzotti, Michele White, and Emanuel Vizzotti Jr. He is the proud grandfather of Luke White. He was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Vizzotti.
Prior to his retirement, Emanuel was a Police Communications Technician for the New York City Police Department. At 18 years old, he joined the United States Army, during the Vietnam War, and was stationed in South Korea. He served proudly in the Eighth Army and was deployed during time of conflict at the Demilitarized Zone near North Korea. He flew a flag out in his yard until the day that he died.
Emanuel was a lifelong Yankee fan and loved watching The Honeymooners on New Year’s Eve with his son. His dog, Max, always held a special place in his heart. More than anything, he cherished his summer vacations with his family to the Hamptons, the Jersey Shore, and Ocean City, Maryland. He was a proud, unapologetic, American who loved his country deeply. He was an excellent cook and loved family barbecues. He looked forward to the holidays and getting together with his family. He was known for his easy-going disposition and beautiful smile. He would help anyone in need.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital - which he supported his whole life.
