Obituary of Susan Capone-Rosalia

Susan Capone Rosalia, 72, of Staten Island passed away on Saturday, April 4^th, 2026. Susan was born in Brooklyn to Michael and Constance Capone. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College and later completed her Master’s degree. Susan was one of the first graduates in the radiation oncology technology program in New York at Montefiore. She spent the next 30 years training and mentoring many. Susan treated every patient and family with respect and dignity. She devoted her whole life to caring for others.

Susan was predeceased by her husband Philip Rosalia. She is survived by her beloved daughter Carolyn, son-il-law Andre and step granddaughter Lily Jakubowicz, her devoted sister Elizabeth Braccolino, and her beloved niece Jillian Doran (Joe) and beloved nephew Nicholas Braccolino (Kelly).

Susan was an avid reader, especially of the classics, and she loved cooking and baking for friends and family alike, but her utmost favorite activity was spending time with her beloved great nieces and nephews Alexandria, Emelia, Joseph and Michael Doran and Olivia and Addison Braccolino and with her fur babies Mikki, Milo and Otis.

Visitation hours will take place on Wednesday, April 8^th from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the Matthew Funeral Home, Victory Boulevard, Staten Island. Funeral services will take place at Holy Trinity Church at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 9^th.
