Obituary of Michael J. Coughlin

Our Beloved Father Michael J Coughlin age 88 passed away peacefully in his home on April 6^th 2026.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend for over 67 years Elizabeth (Betty) Coughlin, his six children Michael, John, Dennis, Kathy, Kevin and Maureen, 14 Grandchildren and 9 Great grandchildren

Mike was a 3-sport star in HS and after Graduating Oratory Prep in NJ he joined the US Navy where he served as a Radioman on the USS Warrington from 1956 – 1959 . After leaving the Navy, Mike began a career at Allstate Insurance where he worked for over 34 years.

Mike was an incredibly caring person with a huge heart and personality to match.

His Passion was his wife, his family, his love of the Pocono Mountains and going to local restaurants. Mike had an incredible “sense of Humor, and was known for his hysterical “One Liners” which made all of us laugh. He also loved watching sports or just simply relaxing in his later years by reading books.

His biggest passion in his life was doing everything with his loving wife as they were inseparable. He will be missed by all who truly knew and loved him.

Services will be held at Mathew Funeral Home SINY on Thursday 4/9/26 from 4pm – 8 pm

Mass at Sacred Heart Church Castleton Ave. SINY Friday 4/10/26 @ 11 am.
