Obituary of Richard E. Musgrove

Richard E. Musgrove, 67, of Monroe Township, NJ passed away Friday, April 17, 2026 at Penn Medical Center Hospital.  "Richie" was born June 30, 1959 in Brooklyn, NY and resided in Northern NJ and Staten Island, NY before settling in Monroe Township.  Richie was married for 24 years to his lovely wife, Nina Cosentino Musgrove.

He was a man who valued integrity, hard work, and the simple joys of everyday life.  Richie worked for 22 years for the NYC DOE as an HVAC Mechanic and Engineer throughout Brooklyn & Staten Island before retiring.  In his early years after high school, Richie worked at Manufacturing Technologies Center, Ohio, ECSC.  He was also self-employed at Remco Technologies, focusing on engraving in mold, tool, and die in Linden, NJ.  Richie enjoyed fishing (catch & release), gardening, boating, and spent many, many summers at Cranberry Lake, NJ with his wife Nina and their dogs along with family and friends.

Richie was known for his steady presence and approached life with quiet determination.  He will be remembered as a devoted family member and loyal friend and his memory will continue to live on in the lives he touched.  Richie is survived by his wife of 24 years, Nina Cosentino, three sisters; Annemarie and her husband Jim Bartkowski (Bart), Elaine and her late husband Daniel Montchal, and Mary Ellen and her husband Pat MacDonnell, 2 brothers Ken Musgrove and the late Bill Musgrove, and sister-in-law Donna Cosentino Falloon along with ten nieces and nephews.  He will be leaving behind a legacy of strength and kindness to those he loved. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Viewing to honor and celebrate Richard’s life will be held Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Blvd Staten Island, NY 10314 on Wednesday April 22, 2026 from 4-7pm, with a service at 6:00 PM.
