Rudolph "Rudy" Dalli

It is with great sadness that the family of Rudolph "Rudy" Dalli announces his passing on April 14, 2026, at the age of 92.

Rudy was a good-natured man who brought smiles and warmth to those around him. He loved telling jokes and making people laugh, leaving a lasting impression on all who spent time with him. He enjoyed cheering on the New York Mets and savored the Italian foods he grew up with throughout his life in Brooklyn.

Rudy spent many years as a dedicated school bus driver. In that role, he was beloved by the children he transported, as well as their parents and teachers.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Angela "Dolly" Matarese, and his brother, Anthony "Nino" Dalli; his children, Debra (Frank) Villani, Linda (Greg) Hayes, Joseph (Julie) Dalli, and Laurie (Matthew) Damiani; his grandchildren, Frank, Jonathan, Samantha, Richie, Joshua, Jenna, Michael, and Jessica; and his great-grandchildren, Sophia, Chloe, and Ella.

Rudy was predeceased by his parents, Rose and Carmine Dalli, and his siblings, Salvatore Dalli, Jean Cimei, Bart Dalli, and Joseph Dalli.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16, from 1:00 to 6:00 pm at Matthew Funeral Home 2508 Victory Blvd. with a service at 5:00 pm.

Rudy's kindness, humor, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
