Obituary of Anthony "Chick" Juliano

Anthony "Chick" Juliano, a devoted family man and cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, on Staten Island, New York. He was 90 years old.

Born on September 4, 1935, in Staten Island, Chick spent his entire life deeply rooted in the community he loved. A graduate of New Dorp High School, he pursued higher education with determination, earning a bachelor's degree from Richmond College and later a master's degree from Long Island University. His commitment to learning and self-improvement was evident throughout his life.

Chick proudly served his country when he was drafted into the United States Army in 1958. Stationed at Fort Dix, New Jersey, he served as a Military Police Officer until 1960. This experience laid the foundation for his distinguished 40-year career with the New York City Police Department (NYPD). Rising through the ranks with dedication and integrity, Chick retired as a Captain in 1996-a testament to his commitment to the job he loved.

Most importantly, Chick was a man of deep faith and an active member of Holy Family Church for over six decades. His involvement extended beyond attendance; he served as both an usher and a Eucharistic Minister, embodying his devotion to his faith and his community.

Chick's greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved family. He shared a remarkable 67-year marriage with his wife Marie and took immense pride in their three children and spouses, Robert (Deborah), Arlene (Charlie), and Anthony (Alexandra). His love and pride extended to his seven grandchildren - James, Jenna, Juliana, Anna, Sophia, Ava and Olivia, and four great-grandchildren - Austin, Jaxon, AJ and Joey. Whether it was sharing stories or celebrating milestones and holidays together - especially Christmas - Chick's love for his family was boundless. Chick is also survived by his loving older brother Donald with whom he shared a 90-year bond of love and joy. Chick was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Josephine Giuliano, and his sisters Rachael Immartino and Annette Dente.

Chick will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for the values he embodied-his steadfast love for family, unwavering faith, dedication to service through the NYPD, and passion for life's simple pleasures. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

May Anthony "Chick" Juliano's memory bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to share in his remarkable journey through life. A Wake will be held on May 7, 2026, from 03:00 PM to 08:00 PM at Matthew Funeral Home at 2508 Victory Boulevard, Staten Island, NY.  Funeral services will be held on May 8th, 2026 at 10:30am at Church of the Holy Family, 366 Watchogue Road, Staten Island, NY.
