Obituary of James M. Chiarchiaro

James Chiarchiaro, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 78, surrounded by the love of his family.

James was a devoted family man whose greatest joy in life was spending time with his loved ones, especially his three cherished grandchildren, Nicolette, Cecilia, and Peter James, who brought endless pride and happiness to his life. He will always be remembered for his strength, kindness, and the love he shared so freely with those around him.

James proudly served his country in the United States Navy, carrying that sense of honor and dedication throughout his life. He had a passion for adventure and freedom, which could be seen in his love for riding motorcycles and traveling all around the world, creating memories and stories that he loved to share with family and friends.

When he was happiest, he could often be found fishing, relaxing down the Jersey Shore, and enjoying the simple moments that meant the most to him. Whether near the water, on the open road, or surrounded by family, he appreciated life fully and lived it with heart.

James leaves behind his loving wife, Maria; his son, James; his daughter, Melissa; his son-in-law, Charles; and his beloved grandchildren, Nicolette, Cecilia, and Peter James. He leaves behind a family who will deeply miss his guidance, laughter, and unwavering love.

Though he is gone, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Forever loved, forever remembered.

Family and Friends may visit the Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Blvd. Staten Island, NY 10314 on Sunday 5/17 from 4-8 PM. A mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Peace on New Dorp Lane on Monday 5/18 at 11:00 AM.
