In Loving Memory of Angela Amaniera

Angela Amaniera, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on August 31, 2026.

Angela was born in Pittston, Pennsylvania, one of eight children born to Joseph and Angela Noone. Family was always an important part of Angela’s life, and she cherished the relationships she shared with her siblings and loved ones.

While working at Procter & Gamble, Angela met her future husband, Charles. Their meeting began a loving partnership that lasted nearly 50 years, until Charles’s passing. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared many wonderful memories, including their love of traveling together.

Angela’s greatest joy was her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings. She treasured family gatherings, shared memories, and the simple moments spent together. Angela was also a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews, always holding a special place in their lives.

Angela is survived by her five children: William and his wife, Laura; Angela; Joseph and his wife, Kathy; Charles and his wife, Eileen; and Robert. She is also survived by her sister, Cathrine Korsant, and her husband Philip, her brother-in-law Eric Sonntag, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and her many nieces and nephews.

Angela leaves behind a lifetime of love, memories, and family traditions that will continue through the generations. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will remain forever in the hearts of her family.

Family and friends may visit the Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Blvd. Staten Island, NY 10314, on Friday 9/4 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  Funeral departing Matthew Funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 AM.  A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church at 10AM.  Interment to follow at Moravian Cemetery.
