Obituary of Dominick J. Caputo

Dominick J. Caputo, of Westerleigh, passed away on November 20, 2017. He was the beloved husband of the late Tina. He was the loving father of LucyAnne Albano and her husband Don, Annette Steenwerth, Nicholas Caputo and his wife Rosanne and John Caputo and his former wife Tara. He was the dear grandfather of Donn and Michael Albano, Erin and Christian Mack, Eric and Peter Steenwerth, Nicholas, Gina-Nicole and Christopher Caputo and Johnna Caputo. He was a cherished great grandfather of Stella and Liliana Mack. In August Dominick celebrated his 100th birthday with his family and friends. He was a patriotic man who served his country honorably during World War II as a First Sergeant in the U.S. Army. After returning home he met the love of his life Tina whom he was married to for 67 years until her death in June of 2016. Together they raised four children in Brooklyn and later relocated to Staten Island. Dominick and Tina hosted many family gatherings and enjoyed spending quality time with those closest to them. Dominick was adored by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. They viewed him as a great role model. Dominick had a wonderful personality with a terrific sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
