Obituary of Anthony F. Cammarata

Anthony F. Cammarata, 46 MTA Bus Mechanic Anthony died at home on Monday, January 15, 2018, after a year long battle from a hereditary colon cancer known as Lynch Syndrome. Anthony was born on S.I. on December 26, 1971 to Antonio Cammarata and the late Antoinette Trancucci. Anthony was a well respected bus mechanic with the MTA for over 15 years. Prior to that he worked for Pathmark Supermarkets and was also a partner at Camm Bros., a mechanic shop, with his father and uncles. Anthony is survived by his father Tony, stepmother Laura, grandmother Patricia Paolillo, sisters Hazel Kleiner, Trisha Cook, Veronica Pius, and brothers Richie Hernandez and Christopher Pius, 3 nieces: Maria, Ava Grace and Lily, and one nephew Gabriel. Anthony is predeceased by his grandparents, Anna and Sal Trancucci, Mary and Joe Cammarata, and Steven Paolillo. In lieu of flowers, donation checks to the Convent of the Sisters Disciple of the Divine Master are lovingly appreciated (60 Sunset Avenue, S.I., NY 10314, 718-494-8597) Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, departing at 9:15 am. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Roch's R.C. Church at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm.
