Obituary of Marie A. Colletta

Marie A. Colletta (nee Abbate), 90, of Graniteville, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2018 at New Vanderbilt Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank (1999); loving mother of Robert Colletta, and his wife, Jenny, and Marie F. Colletta and her husband, Tom Ferreira; cherished grandmother of Christopher Terzulli, Samantha Terzulli, Julia Ferreira, Tom Ferreira, Jr., Matthew Colletta and his wife, Kristin, and Andrew Colletta; devoted great-grandmother of Olivia. Marie was born on August 23, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY. She was raised there and was a graduate of Lafayette High School. She was employed as a Receptionist for Dr. Ponterio's office on Staten Island for many years. Marie was a great cook and baker, she also enjoyed reading books, and loved driving in her red mercedez. Most of all, she loved spending time with her loving family. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Saturday, departing at 8:45 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church at 9:30 am. Entombment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawan, NY. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm.
