Obituary of Margaret A. Ditta

Margaret Garguilo Ditta, 80. of Staten Island, formerly of Brooklyn, passed away peacefully on November 20,2023 at Richmond University Medical Center. Many know Margaret as "Cookie." Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Charles Ditta (2012); loving mother of Mary Ann Ditta and Charles Ditta (Donna); cherished grandmother of Samantha and Justin. She is survived by her sister-in-law Marie Pomilla, many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Margaret was born and raised in Brooklyn and moved to Staten Island. She worked for Citibank for many years and at various diners on Staten Island. Margaret loved animals and had many dogs throughout the years. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, knitting, and shopping. Margaret always brought delicious fruit and cakes to all family gatherings. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, November 24,2023 departing at 11:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church at 11:30 am. Burial to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 9:00-11:00 am.
