Obituary of Donna Ann Quinn

Donna Ann Quinn, age 40, passed away on January 21, 2024. She was the cherished daughter of Edward Quinn and Angela (Giovinazzo) Quinn. She was the devoted sister of Jennifer Quinn. She was the beloved granddaughter of the late Martin and Domenica (Sacca) Giovinazzo and the late Edward and Mary (Murphy) Quinn. She was the loving niece of John Quinn (Annette), Vincent Quinn (Debbie), Maureen O’Neill and Kathleen Quinn, Concetta Bonner (Richard), Rosemarie (Aunt Ro-Ro) Giovinazzo, and the late Dominick Giovinazzo, the late Martin Giovinazzo, and the late Harold Quinn. She is survived by many loving cousins. Donna was born and raised in Staten Island, NY. She attended and graduated from Curtis High School. As a child, Donna was diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder (Autism Spectrum). She excelled in academics and graduated college with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. She became an advocate for the developmentally disabled taking care of her sister. Donna was employed by the NYC Department of Education as a Paraprofessional working with children who were autistic and had Down’s. She called them her kids. She was devoted to not only her family but showed that same devotion to the students under her care. She enjoyed vacationing with her family to Turks and Caicos. Donna also enjoyed trips to Atlantic City. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. on Friday, 1/26/2024. Departing at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Peter’s Church at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, 1/25/2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
