Obituary of Peter Bentevis

Peter Bentevis, 51, passed away peacefully at home on March 15th, 2024. He was the beloved son of John Bentevis and Dimitra Pelekidou, and loving brother of Dimitrios Bentevis. Peter was born in Brooklyn in 1973. Anyone who knew him around the neighborhood, knew him as "Pete the Greek" and that he loved wearing suits when he went out. Pete was always willing to help a friend no matter what the consequences were. In his younger years he enjoyed playing billiards and chess, and liked to frequent Atlantic City, Blackjack was his game of choice. He was an avid fan of both the NY Giants and NY Islanders. He graduated from Brooklyn College with a bachelor's degree in Philosophy and also pursued a law degree at Hofstra Law University.
