Obituary of Claude J. Manzi

Claude J. “Frenchy” Manzi, age 75, passed away at Addeo House Hospice on November 5, 2017. He was the loving father of Christine Koehler and her husband, Craig, John Manzi, and Richard Manzi; beloved grandfather of C.J., Matthew, Morgan, John, Greg, and Nicolette Manzi. Frenchy was born in Marseille, France, November 1, 1942. He was raised there and came to the United States in 1957, settling in Brooklyn. He relocated to Staten Island in 1972. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1970. He was employed as a Truck Driver for many years, before becoming a Bus Operator for the MTA, retiring in 1998. Claude loved to work on and fix cars, as well as trips to Atlantic City and Florida. He also thoroughly enjoyed fishing and boating. His boat was named the Absolut Pleasure and he was a member of PBBA Boatmen’s Association.
