My beautiful aunt Ginny. I will miss you. I shared many great memories with Ginny. I really enjoyed when she would drop by our house. She was always A lot of fun. She was such a cool person. when I was around 11 years old she showed me how to shuffle cards between my knuckles. How cool is that. Pretty great if you ask me. I still can’t do it btw. My favorite memory is when Ginny took me to the museum of natural history for the first time. We learned all kinds of interesting facts. We had an amazing time. Love you Ginny

Ginny. It’s hard to believe you’re not with us. How I will miss that smile of yours, that special laugh that made life easier to bear. For some reason, I can’t exactly remember the year we met. It must have been 15 years or so ago. How we laughed, searched for antiques all over Staten Island. How you loved the written word, books lined your apartment on Bement Avenue. What a lovely home it was. One stepped into a time long ago when that door opened. The air was thick with a love of Art, books of many subjects, furniture that spoke to you-of love, adventure, knowledge, and a love of life. I often think of your love of cooking. We sat at a table and the words flowed like wine between us. How I treasure every moment spent together. You were a great interpreter of dreams. A scholar on the subject. You were like magic in my life, a spark of energy. . It’s hard to explain our bond. It was strong and special. Our trips to the beach were always an adventure. We knew where to find great lobster down the Jersey shore. Ginny swam like a mermaid. She loved the ocean, the luxury of the sand and sun. We never got to see each other after you left Staten Island for NJ. Yet, we planned a trip to a NYC museum, day at the pool and sleepover at my home on Staten Island. It never happened. Ginny, you made my life fuller. We fed each other’s soul with a spiritual bond. You made a difference in my life. Here’s to the poet who loved the intricacies of words, searched for answers on the meaning of life.Ginny loved her family and friends.
Most of all she adored her grandchildren-we both were blessed to have experienced that special bond only a grandparent understands and cherishes. How it filled her heart. I will miss your sweet spirit for as long as I live. Until we met again Ginny. I’ll see you on the other side. Save a spot for me.
I love you.

I met Ginny 64 years ago in, in Jr. high, in Brooklyn. from the minute we met , we became fast friends. she was brilliant, funny, sensitive and a loyal and loving friend. she was always relentlessly curious about the human psyche and its relationship to our emotions. our conversations got so philosophically deep sometimes, we had to stop and laugh at ourselves. Ginny loved the written word and would write poetry to express parts of herself that had been secreted away. what she loved most of all were her children and grandchildren. no matter what or who else she loved, they were always primary. we spoke of them often. I can not imagine my world without Ginny in it. She was a loyal, loving friend. although the loss of her is immense to me, I am honored and grateful to have been her friend and to have had her be mine. angie

Ginny was a 'first' in so many ways. She was the first child to be born to a first generation of Italian American sisters and one brother. Her mom was the oldest, my beautiful Aunt Josephine, and her Aunts Tomasina, Phyllis, Angela,Vi and Uncle Neal. Of this group only Vi survives. These would have been the people to share the most memories. They say it takes a village to raise a child. This tightknit family celebrated Ginny and all contributed to her upringing. Ginny was,in many ways, a learning experience for them to apply to caring for all the nieces and nephews who followed. I am lucky to be the son of Vi so I still hear some of the stories of how they all helped each other raising us. I do wish they were around to share those stories here.
I will always remember Cousin Ginny as a warm, sensitive, searching personn who managed to leave this world with two exceptionally beautiful children- Joseph and Jackie and their wonderful families. Along with them, Flavia and all the Cousins-
We grieve losing Ginny. She will always be remembered with love! Cousin James Molini
