Obituary of Beverly M. Perina

Beverly M. Perina (nee Thompson), age 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 1, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late John Perina III. She was the loving mother of John Perina IV and his wife Karen, Janet Blois and her husband Robert, Steven Perina, Pamela Ortiz, Susan Perina, Patricia Kerber and her husband Michael and Ronald Perina and his wife Karen. She was the devoted grandmother of 20. She was the dear great grandmother of 14. She was the cherished sister of George Thompson and his wife Linda and the late Evelyn Norberg, Joan Richards and Martha Mulligan. Beverly was born and raised in Staten Island. She married the love of her life and was blessed with a beautiful family. She worked as a registered nurse at Staten Island University North for over 30 years. In her spare time she enjoyed walking, dancing, singing and bowling. Beverly had a tremendous bond with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a great role model that many of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren looked up to. At her core she was loving, caring and affectionate to those closest to her. She will be dearly missed. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday, 6/11/2020 departing at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held in Matthew Funeral Home at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Moravian Cemetery.
