Obituary of Jeffrey H. Brennan

On Friday, August, 14, 2020, Jeffrey Harold Brennan, devoted son and loving brother, passed away at the age of 57 from a rare illness. Jeff was born on December 29, 1962 in Staten Island, NY to Edward and Jean Brennan. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the College of Staten Island. Jeff worked for the Anheuser-Busch Corporation for 23 years, and was promoted over the years to Senior Director of Sales & Marketing. He lived in Oahu, Hawaii for a few years where he enjoyed the gorgeous weather before returning to Staten Island. Jeff enjoyed playing golf and played frequently with friends and colleagues. He traveled to Scotland to play at the oldest course in the world, The Old Course at St. Andrews Links. Jeff also traveled to Germany to experience Oktoberfest and study the beer-making process. He was a huge fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants. Jeff was lucky to have many close friends, including several friends from his childhood on Hawthorne Avenue. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Edward. He is survived by his mother Jean, sister Dianne Horning (Thomas), his brother Steven, his beloved niece Kristy Butka (Stephen) and nephew Jeffrey Horning (Caitlin), three grandnieces and a grandnephew, an aunt and uncle, several cousins and countless friends. A viewing will be held at Matthew Funeral Home on Monday, August 17, 2020 from 4:00-8:00pm.
