Obituary of Angela Papapietro

Angela Papapietro (nee Mangiamele), age 92, passed away on August 16, 2020. She was the devoted daughter of the late Ennocenzo and Maria Mangiamele. She was the beloved wife of the late Pancrazio Papapietro. She was the loving mother of Donna Sanna and her husband Anthony and Maria Walker and her husband Jeff. She was the cherished nonna of Anthony Sanna, Stephanie Bebawy and her husband Jerom, Brianna Walker and Brandon Walker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Angela was born and raised in Tricarico, Italy. She later met and fell in love with her husband Pancrazio. In 1960, her and her husband immigrated to the United States to establish themselves and start their family. Angela was an amazing wife and mother who always put her family first. She was a strong and caring woman who would cater to those she cared about the most. Angela was a very proud "Nonna", her grandchildren were her world and she loved spending as much time with them as possible. She was referred to as a beautiful person inside and out as well as one of the most selfless people you would ever have the privilege of knowing. She will be dearly missed. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. On Thursday, 8/20/2020, departing at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pity R.C. Church 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, 8/19/2020, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 9:00 AM.
