Obituary of Elinor A. Alba
Elinor Ann Alba age 79 passed away peacefully on October 1, 2020 a day before her 80th birthday. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to James and Sally Monteleone. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and lifelong love, Phil Alba, her "champion" son, Michael James Alba, her loving Goddaughter Sally Winowiecki, and brother-in-law, Salvatore Alba.
She leaves behind her daughter Linda (Alba) Lichardi, son-in-law, Mike and their three sons, Michael, Matthew and Luke, her daughter-in-law Mary Scotto and granddaughter Angela Alba, her siblings; John Monteleone and Anita Lombardo, sisters-in-law, Maria Alba, Claudia Alba and Jean Monteleone, many nieces and nephews and her cherished dog Oreo.
Elinor was a resident of Staten Island for over 50 years where she formed many lasting friendships. She was an admired Legal Secretary for over 25 years in the Brooklyn Superior Court, where she was active as the President of the Secretarial Association, running many charitable events.
Elinor had a strong artistic side, enjoying painting, horticulture, making music and various crafts. She was a woman of many talents.
Ellie will be remembered affectionately as a loving person who took care of others around her especially those who needed her friendship most. Ellie loved all animals, having many pets which included her dogs, cat, rabbit, frogs, and fish. She will be dearly missed by all of those who had the pleasure to know her.

Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc. 2508 Victory Blvd., on Monday, departing 9:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Child RC Church at 10:00 AM, followed by entombment at Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Sunday 1:00 to 7:00 PM.
Due to the pandemic, all visitors to the funeral home and church are required to wear a mask and understand that there may be a short wait to visit due to the capacity limitations.
