Obituary of Antonio Adesso

Antonio Adesso, 66, of Westerleigh, passed away on October 9, 2020. Loving uncle to Rosa Adesso; dear brother of Maria Adesso and her husband Pasquale, the late Francesco Adesso; fond brother-in-law of Carmela Adesso. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Adesso was born in 1954 in Italy, and came to the United States at age 14, settling in Brooklyn, and relocated to Staten Island in 1989. He was the owner and operator of Adesso Landscaping for 40 years. In his spare time he enjoyed watching wrestling and playing cards. He was very handy and could fix anything. He made his own Sopresata and homemade sausages. Most of all he enjoyed his life to the fullest with a great sense of humor and loved spending time with his family. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, departing at 10 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Teresa's R.C. Church at 10:45 am. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Due to Covid-19, all visitors to the funeral home and church must wear masks, practice social distancing, and be mindful that a small wait to visit might exist due to capacity limitations.
