Obituary of Rae Brunone
Rae Brunone (nee Parise), 93, passed away at home her home in Travis, on Thursday, October 22, 2020. She was born on February 18, 1927, to the late James and late Jennie Parise. Mrs. Brunone was raised in Elm Park with her brothers and sisters and moved to Travis more than 60 years ago.
Rae was a member of St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church and enjoyed attending Sunday Mass with friends and neighbors. She was employed by New York Telephone Company, as a Telephone Operator for more than 40 years before retiring. In her spare time, she enjoyed her home and property, especially tending to her many plants and flowers, and hosting many family gatherings over the years. She especially enjoyed talking about growing up in Elm Park with her brothers and sisters, at their parent’s store, “Parise’s Delicatessen”, on Morning Star Road.
Rae is survived by her son, Robert Brunone and his wife Judy, her beloved grandchildren: Joseph Brunone and his wife Gianna, and Anthony Brunone and his wife Kelly. Also surviving are her siblings: Irene Viola, Richard Parise and his wife Carol, and Barbara Reha. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday, departing at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church at 10 am. Interment will follow in Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.
