Obituary of Nicole DeMartinis

Nicole DeMartinis, 41, passed away suddenly on November 3, 2020, at her home. She was the beloved daughter of Matthew and Diane DeMartinis; loving mother of Kaitlyn Askew and Jacob Chimirev; dear sister of Matthew DeMartinis (Rebecca); fond aunt of Logan DeMartinis. She was also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ms. DeMartinis was born and raised on Staten Island, graduated from St. Peter's Girls High School and attended the College of Staten Island and Kingsborough Community College, where she earned an Associate's Degree. She owned and operated her own daycare facility in her home. Her passion was providing care for children. Her family often called her the "Baby Whisperer". She was an avid foodie. In her younger years she enjoyed snowboarding, travelling with her family to their second home in Aruba, and going to the beach. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., on Saturday, departing at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family R.C. Church at 10:00 am. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Visitation on Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Due to Covid, all visitors must wear masks and practice social distancing and be mindful that a small wait to visit might exist due to capacity.
