Obituary of William T. Mannino

William T. Mannino, 67, of Meiers Corners, passed away on November 20, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Pariseau Mannino. He was the son of the late Thomas and Lena Mannino; dear brother of Michele Ballard and loving father of Thomas Mannino and Donna Lee Martuccio. He is the adored “Pop” of Nicholas, Hannah, Nate, Kendall and Ben and loving father-in-law of Paul Martuccio and Kiana Mannino and many nieces and nephews. Billy was born in Staten Island in 1953 and grew up in West Brighton where he spent so much of his time with dear neighborhood lifelong friends. He was a graduate of PS 45, IS 27 and Curtis High School. He worked as an elevator mechanic for Local 1 for over 40 years, most of those years with Thyssen Krupp. Billy enjoyed playing the drums and listening to all music genres. He had a deep appreciation for music and the arts. More than anything, Billy was devoted to his wife, family and friends. He will always be remembered for his amazing pool parties, delicious bbq dinners, homemade lasagna, love of animals and beautiful vacations with friends and family. He was the epitome of unselfishness. Family and friends are invited to visit at Matthew Funeral Home, Inc. 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday 11/23, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family R.C. Church on Tuesday, 11/24, at 10:30 am. Due to current health conditions, visitors to the funeral home and church must wear masks, practice social distancing, and be mindful that a wait time to visit might exist due to current capacity limitations.
