Obituary of Debra Pepitune-Capace

Debra Pepitune-Capace, 65, of New Spingville, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2020. She was the beloved daughter of Rose and the late Joseph Pepitune; loving sister of Marie Marro and her husband Michael; devoted aunt of David Carloni. She was also loved by her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Debra was born and raised in Brooklyn, and was graduated from John Jay High School. For 37 years she worked for the New York State Supreme Court as a Court Aide, retiring in 2017. She enjoyed listening to music, walking and driving. Debra also enjoyed revisiting her childhood neighborhoods of Carroll Gardens and Brooklyn Heights, and enjoyed going to the movies with her sister Marie. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Pity R.C. Church, but also enjoyed attending her former Catholic church in Brooklyn Heights. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday, 12/28, departing at 10:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pity R.C. Church at 10:30 am. Interment to follow in Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, 12/27, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Due to Covid, all visitors must wear masks, practice social distancing, and be mindful that a small wait to visit might exist due to capacity limitations.
