Obituary of Jacqueline M. Lester

Jacqueline M. Lester (nee Pierremont), passed away peacefully on December 24, 2020 after celebrating her 74th birthday and her 50th wedding anniversary in November 2020. She was the loving wife of Jack Lester; mother of Sydney Peterson, and Stacey Lester Cana and her husband Bernard; grandmother to Kathryn Gnyp and her husband Richard, Sarah Perina, Nicholas Perina, Brady Cana, and Isabella Cana; great grandmother to Samantha Gnyp, Sophia Gnyp, Alan Agar, Desmond Perina, Aiden Perina, and Andi Ortega and her boyfriend Alex, ; great-great grandmother to David Macias. She is also survived by her sister Stephanie Funiciello and her husband John, her brother Guy Pierremont and his wife Maria as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Audrey and Jacques Pierremont. Jacqueline was born in Manhattan, November 20, 1946 and raised on Long Island and Queens. Jacqueline met and married Jack in 1970 and they settled on Staten Island, residing in the Willowbrook area for more than 40 years. Jacqueline remained home with her daughters until 1986 when she went to work at Gair, Gair and Conason, et al. Jacqueline worked there as a Paralegal, then Legal Secretary for more than 20 years. After retirement, Jacqueline spent her time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. An avid knitter, Jacqueline knitted afghans and sweaters for family, friends and charity. Jacqueline was also an avid reader, passing on this love of books to her children and grandchildren. Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held at Matthew's Funeral Home on Saturday 01/02/2021 from 12-4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to St Jude Children's Hospital are appreciated
