Obituary of Rosanne C. Friscia
Rosanne Camille Friscia (nee Santangelo), age 65, passed away on January 3, 2021, after a difficult battle with COVID-19. Rosanne was born in Brooklyn on September 3, 1955, to the late Patrick and Mary Santangelo. She was the office manager and bookkeeper for the family business and a tireless homemaker. Roseanne lived for her family and her biggest pleasure was doing everything she could for those she loved.
She is survived by her adoring husband of 43 years and childhood sweetheart- Charles, her beloved children- James, Joseph, and Patrice, her honorary children- daughter-in-law Kristin and sons-in-law Timothy and John, her cherished canine companion- Teddy, and the true joy of her life, her grandchildren- Juliana and Joseph.
She was the beloved sister to her late brother, Richard Santangelo and his wife Donna, late sister Patricia Moe and her husband John, and late brothers John and Gerard. She was the dear sister-in-law of Marie and Kevin O’Hare, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Her truly generous spirit was evident in her many charitable works, including her recovery efforts for the victims of Hurricane Sandy, which led to her being recognized as NY1’s Staten Islander of the week. She was devoted to her faith and her parish, St. Teresa’s, where she volunteered at the food pantry for many years.
Due to the current health crisis, the visitation service will be private. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Teresa’s Church on Monday, January 11th, at 10:45 AM with burial service to follow at Moravian Cemetery.
A memorial mass to celebrate her life will be held in September.
