Obituary of Lisa H. Tompkinson

Lisa Tompkinson, 62 of Brooklyn, New York passed away on Saturday, February 6th, 2021, at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Lisa was born in February of 1959 and was raised in Staten Island. She grew up in New Brighton where she enjoyed tap dancing, ballet, playing the saxophone and was a member of the Girl Scout’s. She attended school at St. Paul’s, as well as Curtis High School. Lisa was a caterer in her younger years, she enjoyed cooking, serving and helping others in many ways. In her later life Lisa relocated to Brooklyn. In her spare time, Lisa loved listening to music by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, she enjoyed playing scrabble and words with friends, and she loved to spend time with her loved ones, especially her beautiful Granddaughters Ava and Gia, and her many nieces and nephews. Lisa was a vibrant, creative, upbeat soul like no other, she was always there for anyone and everyone, and she definitely knew how to make you laugh or put a smile on your face. Her adventurous spirit will be deeply missed. Lisa is survived by her mother Helen Tompkinson; by her son, Brian Tompkinson and his wife Laurie; by her cherished granddaughters, Ava and Gia Tompkinson; by her brothers John, Scott, Christopher, and Craig Tompkinson; and by her niece who she had a very special relationship with Amanda Tompkinson. Lisa was predeceased in 2020 by her loving sister Maria Tompkinson. The memorial for Lisa Tompkinson will be from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, February 15th, 2021, at Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
