She was the cherished grandmother of Robert Sullivan, Brittany Sullivan, Ray Burt Jr., Lexi Carter, Michael Keane, Madison Keane and Mackenzie Keane. She was the dear sister of MaryAnn Crohan and her husband Don. Bernadine was a life-long Staten Islander, who was born and raised in Port Richmond. She attended P.S. 21 and Port Richmond High School. Bernadine married her High School sweetheart, Joseph on May 18, 1963. They resided in Port Richmond for 9 years before moving to Westerleigh in 1972. She enjoyed knitting, baking, trips to Atlantic City and spending much time with her beloved grandchildren. She attended almost every sporting event they were involved in. Her favorite times of the year were the holidays where she spent days cooking and baking. It was not a proper Christmas Eve without the singing of the 12 days of Christmas.
