Obituary of Rose Soriano

Rose Soriano (nee Menichino), 86, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Vincent for 64 years; loving mother of Vincent Soriano and his wife Karen, and John Soriano and his wife Nancy; cherished grandmother of Christopher, Ryan, and Tiffany. She was predeceased by her siblings. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Soriano was born and raised in Brooklyn, and graduated from the former Sarah J. Hale High School in Brooklyn. Rose was raised in Coney Island and loved going to the beach there and was an excellent swimmer. In her younger days she worked in several retail jobs, including Macy’s. Rose was a skilled artistic painter in her spare time and also enjoyed playing Bingo. She also was a great cook and her family really enjoyed her “Sunday Sauce”. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, 3/2, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A service will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:00 pm. Due to Covid, all visitors must wear masks, practice social distancing, and be mindful that a small wait time to visit might exist due to current capacity limitations.
