Obituary of Christopher Michael Greibesland

Christopher Michael Greibesland, age 21, passed away on March 2, 2021. He was the devoted son of Lori Schodowski and Rolf Greibesland. He was the loving brother of Cassidy Greibesland and Jax Greibesland. He was the cherished grandson of Kathleen Sztropkalyi and her late husband Michael, Rosemary Greibesland and her husband Rolf. He was the beloved great grandson of the late Edna Percoco Aponte and the late Angelo Aponte and the late Rosemary and Jesse Fowler. He was the dear nephew of Kathleen Sztropkalyi and her husband Rob Currie and the late Michael Sztropkalyi Jr., Tore Greibesland and his wife Kjersti, Peter Greibesland and his wife Linda, Jan, Richard, Robert and Rosemary Greibesland. He was the devoted cousin of Stephanie Sztropkalyi, John Currie, Michelle Sztropkalyi, Melissa Sztropkalyi, Daris Sztropkalyi, Dominic Sztropkalyi, Martin Greibesland, Helene Greibesland, Lillian Greibesland, Lars Greibesland, Paul Greibesland, Penny Greibesland, Jason Greibesland, Katie Greibesland, Jessica Greibesland, Nicholas Greibesland, Christian Greibesland, Joseph Greibesland, Elizabeth Brilliante and Tor Greibesland. Christopher is also survived by his beloved dog, Scar. Christopher was an adventurous young man who lived life to the fullest. While in school he was a very athletic child playing basketball and football. He also enjoyed skiing, camping, hiking, cliff jumping, hang gliding, riding dirt bikes, jet skiing and all other water sports. Needless to say Christopher made the most out of the limited time he had. Above all else, he loved spending time with family and friends and always put a smile on the faces of those he cared about most. He will truly and dearly be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Saturday, 3/6/2021, departing 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael’s R.C. Church 10:15 AM. A private cremation to follow. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, 3/5/2021, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Due to Covid, all visitors must wear masks, practice social distancing, and be mindful that a wait to visit might exist due to current capacity limitations.
