Obituary of Joseph F. Tszuska

Obituary of Joseph F. Tszuska, 94 Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Joseph, passed on March 25, 2021. He was a hard-working family man and World War II Veteran who was liked by all, family and friends. Helen, his wife of 72 years passed 15 months ago at 90. Joseph served in the Navy on the Aircraft Carrier Salerno Bay in the Pacific fighting the Japanese. On discharge from the Navy he worked as an Electrical Engineer for the City of New York. Post-Navy, Joseph obtained a private pilot's license and once flew his to-be bride over Niagara Falls. After retiring from the City of New York, he continued to work in that capacity (Electrical Engineer) for private pollution control companies. After retiring once again he continued to work on his children's home improvement projects and was always helping friends and family with their projects. He enjoyed family holiday gatherings, working with his hands, playing chess with his son, and figuring out difficult problems of all kinds (electrical, mechanical, automotive, boating, etc.). If it was broke dad (Joseph) was the one to talk to and nine times out of ten to diagnose and fix it for you. He was not afraid of big projects like making furniture or adding a room to his house, foundation to roof and everything in-between included. He is survived by his son Ronald, his wife Luann, daughter Judith, her husband Roland, Grandchildren Carly, Julianne, and Jenna, and Great Grandson Mason. We will miss him. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. on Tuesday, 3/30/2021, departing at 11:30 AM. Funeral Mass will be held in Holy Family R.C. Church at 12:00 PM. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, 3/30/2021, from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. Due to the current pandemic, all visitors are required to wear a mask and social distancing will be enforced. Due to capacity limitations there may be a short wait when visiting.
