I met Tony 15 years ago when I was a Train Operator on the garbage train. He was the dispatcher at Dekalb on the midnight tour. I remember he told me to turn at Atlantic avenue and when I wasn't moving fast enough for his liking, he began yelling at me to hurry up on the radio. I said to myself'who's this guy with the thick Brooklyn accent? Sounds straight outta Saturday Night Fever!' I finally met him working his rdo at Stillwell N line one night and we shared a few laughs. Being Italian myself, I cracked on his accent being worse than mine and I'm from Brooklyn! What am awesome man! Still can't believe he's gone. He's in a better place now dancing in the Disco in the sky! God bless Tony....I will sorely miss you my brother. My utmost condolences to the family. I'm beyond words to express my grief.

I met Tony when he first started in Transit, 59St & Lexington Ave track quarters. Took him under my wing, showed him the ropes. We had everyone convinced we were cousins. The tough exterior that showed, he was a softy inside. He mentioned his wife was expecting, was shocked and brought to tears when I threw him a impromptu "male" baby shower in a male filled track quarters. I know the pampers came in handy LOL !! We had a lot of good times throughout our transit career. I'm going to miss you my friend, rest in eternal peace. See you on the other side.

Tony was my Dispatcher at Dekalb Tower for many years. When I was attending college, he gave me extra breaks because he knew I was tired. Upon completion of my degree, Tony was there at the ceremony cheering me on. He presented flowers to me . I was so happy to have him in my corner.
Thanks so much Tony, I will always remember and honor you.
My condolences to the family.

When I first met Deluca, I was a new ATD sent to work a G.O. Job @ Dekalb Ave..Deluca gave me a look like, who the hell are you, coming into my territory, lol. But, my energy was good so, he took it easy on me. There was mutual respect from then on. I always enjoy talking to Deluca. He always made me laugh. He always tell it like it is. I miss him, he was one of my favorite people but he suffers no more. Rest In Peace my friend. Your work is done here. Our maker has called you Home. My Condolences to the Family

I worked with Tony "Dukie" as we knew him at NYCT since about 2000. If anyone thought ill of him they didn't know his heart! As TRANSIT workers we spent a lot of holidays together at the job, one memory that stands out for me is the THANKSGIVING at Murphy Tower he brought in a Turkey dinner for all of us! TONY, we miss you. I guess GOD wants the best sometimes. RIP
