Recollecting my childhood, and knowing so well comedian Sebastian Maniscalco's skit about "company" ... and when "company" came to the house ... how you never called ahead. You just rang the bell! We'd hear the car doors slam and run to the window. We'd all yell Aunt Rose and Uncle Mike are here ... and then run to the door to let 'em in! Sebastian would then talk about the Entenmann's cake that was for "company" ... and my mom would put on a "pot of coffee!" I can so relate that skit in my mind, of my days on Brighton and Glascoe Ave's ... and how Aunt Rose and Uncle Mike were such a fond part of that childhood and would come over to visit (Uncle Mike never let my mom off the hook about her coffee!) Deb, I'm so certain you are proud to have called him dad, and Kevin, Gregg and Lindsay to have called him "grandpa" .... Look up the word "gentleman" in the dictionary and you'll find a picture of Uncle Mike!! And I'm sure when he arrived, my mom put out her cigarette!!
