Obituary of Patricia Nordman

Patricia Nordman, 91, of Graniteville, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late David H. Nordman; loving mother of Karen Nordman, Nancy Sickler, Linda Nordman Ring, Steven Nordman, and Megan Nordman; beloved grandmother of Erik Sickler, Angelica Ring, Natalie Ring, Timothy Ring, and David Ring; cherished great grandmother of Daniel Ring, and Henry Sickler; beloved sister of JoAnn Brown, Stephen Hayes, Dennis Hayes, and the late Neal Hayes. Mrs. Nordman was born in Newark, NJ, lived part of her childhood in Ohio, and moved to Staten Island and graduated from St Mary's and later St. Peter's High School. She attended College of Staten Island. After raising her family, she went on to work as a legal secretary for Lamorte Burns and later Maloney and Porcelli. Patricia was a caring homemaker, a wonderful cook, and loved spending time with her friends and family. She was a quick wit and selfless family matriarch. An avid reader of mystery novels, she read the newspaper every day and loved the challenge of a good crossword puzzle. She was a life-long parishioner at St. Clements and St. Michaels in Mariners Harbor. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. on Monday, 4/12/2021, departing at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Michael's R.C. Church at 10:15 AM. Interment to follow in Ocean View Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, 4/11/2021, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Due to the current pandemic, all visitors are required to wear masks and social distancing will be enforced. Please understand there may be a short wait due to capacity limitations.
