Obituary of Benny J. Asaro

Benny Asaro, 86, of Staten Island passed away peacefully on April 15, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Allison, loving father of John, loving father-in- law of Sandy and the cherished grandfather of Alexis, Madison & Victoria. Benny Asaro was born in Brooklyn, lived in Manhattan & Staten Island. He served in the military during the Korean war, stationed in Europe. Benny was proud to have been a part of the construction the original World Trade Center buildings, maintaining construction for many years and rebuilding after the first bombing. He enjoyed travel, dining out, horse racing and baseball. Most of all he loved his family. Family and friends may visit on Monday, 4/19, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard. A service will be conducted at 6:00 PM in the funeral home. Due to Covid, all visitors must wear masks, practice social distancing and be mindful that due to current capacity limitations, there may be a small wait to visit.
