Obituary of Angelina Bartolomeo

Mrs. Angelina Bartolomeo, 95, of Heartland Village, passed away peacefully at SIUH North on April 27, 2021. Known to her family and those who knew her as "Julie". She now is reunited with her deceased husband, Santo, deceased granddaughter, Danielle Ngai, and her three sisters, Teresa, Viola, and Alice in eternal life. Julie is the daughter of the late John and the late Philomena Astone. Beloved mother of Debra Ngai and her husband John; cherished grandmother of Kim Napoletano and her husband Anthony; fond great grandmother of Anthony J. Napoletano. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Julie was born in Bellport, NY and raised in Brooklyn, NY where she met her late husband. They grew up on the same block, Skillman Street and were married for 67 years. She was a Microfilm Reader for E.F. Hutton for about 25-30 years. Julie had an innate love of all people and babies. She appreciated and respected everyone. When you were in her presence her vibrant, feisty, caring and comforting spirit had a way of making you feel cared about. She loved sharing her life stories with anyone who would listen and often stopped to admire a baby whenever she saw one. Julie was a devoted Catholic. She was an avid reader; her favorite author was Danielle Steel. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with her granddaughters and great grandson. Julie will be missed beyond measure.
