Born in Brooklyn, Marie worked as a seamstress and was a proud member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Marie moved to Staten Island in 1976 and relocated to Farmingdale, NJ in 2012.
She was an active parishioner at Our Lady of Pity R.C. Church, where she was a member of the Rosarians.
Marie was a dedicated to her daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, dancing, and loved to be at home cooking fabulous meals for her family, including her legendary rice balls.
Marie is predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Frank. She is survived by her daughters: Maria Eskew and Annette Scalici; her sons-in-law: Richard Eskew and Dr. Peter Scalici; her grandchildren: Richard Eskew, David Eskew, and Alexandra Scalici, and four great grandchildren.
Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Wednesday at 11 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pity R.C. Church at 11:30 am. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday morning from 9 to 11 am.
