Obituary of Lucille DiBerardino Ross

OBITUARY OF LUCILLE DIBERARDINO ROSS Lucille DiBerardino Ross, age 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 16, 2021. She was born March 18th, 1931, the fifth daughter born to Sarah and Pasquale Martinucci on Staten Island, New York. She graduated in 1948 from Port Richmond HS, Staten Island, NY with honors. She married Frank DiBerardino of Mariners Harbor, Staten Island, NY on January 31st, 1954 and he predeceased her in 1974. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Fei) DiBerardino, Robert (Karen) DiBerardino, Frank (Jennifer) DiBerardino and Judith DiBerardino. She was active in the PTA and St. Ann's Society. Lucille founded the Widow Persons Service on Staten Island and led from 1978 - 1995. She was employed at Port Richmond High School as an Educational Associate and retired in 1992. In 1995 she married Harold Ross of New Springfield, Staten Island, NY and they retired to Leesburg, FL. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Stephanie (CJ) Marra, Christopher DiBerardino, Michael DiBerardino, Melissa DiBerardino and Rachel DiBerardino and two greatgrandchildren, Luca Marra and LilyGrace Marra. She was predeceased by her sisters, Rose Sassara, Mary Naimo, Mildred Moran and JoAnn Martinucci. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. on Thursday, 5/20/2021, departing at 11:00 AM. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Roch's R.C. Church at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, 5/20/2021, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Due to the current pandemic, all visitors are required to wear a mask and social distancing will be enforced. Please understand there may be a short wait due to capacity limitations.
