Joey and I met in 1993. We became friends and worked many years together at LaGuardia Airport. He was always a lot of fun, we had each other's back. He loved his family, worked long hours to provide for them, and was motivated by them. I'm so sorry he left them so early, loved ya pal, you are missed. Your friend Charlie Giglia.

When you find yourself weeping for what you have lost, remember that you are weeping for someone who blessed you with joy. How lucky you are to have all known such a wonderful person. He touched so many people whether he realized it or not. His life has given us all something special. .
No matter wherever he is, he’ll always be watching over you. He will stay with you forever.
My sincerest condolences Suzanne.

To My #1. We all miss you so much already and there are no words to describe the loss that we all feel. Your personality was infections, and what I admired most about you was that you lived for your family and you didn't care what anyone else thought. Even though you were rough and tough on the outside, you were so soft and gentle on the inside. I will always cherish the bond that we shared forever. You will always be my number 1 and no one can replace that. Thank you for treating me like I was one of your own. Love you always Uncle Joe.

Your father was one of my favorite people in the world. He was the most generous, hilarious, loving people I’d ever had the absolute pleasure of meeting. He made me feel like part of the already massive Savino family every time I got to see him, whether it was at the backyard pool in NYC or Black Point in Columbus. I’m so glad I got to know him, and I’m so terribly sorry for your loss. I’m thinking of all of the family always. I love you all so much.

Joe, there are no words that can describe the loss we are feeling. You lived your life to the 'Beat of Your Own Drum' with Suzanne and your children in the forefront. The love you have given to your family will carry them forward every day. Thank you for the laughs and memories. You truly were one of a kind and will be missed. May you rest in peace. Love Teresa

I can't even wrap my head around this. My heart is completely shattered..
Joe, the world definitely lost one of its brightest lights when you left us.. The special bond that we shared will forever hold a place in my heart. Your laugh, your hugs & especially your sarcasm is something that I will always have living in my thoughts forever. You will be missed immensely.

My heart is broken. I can't believe you are gone. We had 35 years together and I cherish every moment. You will forever be my one true love, my one and only, my person. You were always there for me the person I could always count on. God blessed us with 9 beautiful amazing children and now I know why. Our life will never be the same but I know you will be with us forever. One day we will be together again. Rest in Peace. I will love you forever. I have it from here.
Love you for eternity Suzanne

I am so glad to have called you my dad, you were the best dad that anyone could have ever asked for. I’ll forever miss you and I’ll forever love you. You have my whole heart and not a day will go by where I won’t miss you. I’ll always cherish the times where you would force me to give you a hug, crack your back, save me the last sip of the craft beers so we could taste them together and much more. There are so many things that I want to say. There are not enough words to describe how much I love you and how much I’ll miss you. You’ll forever be the first man who loved me and the first man that I’ll ever love. I love you dad.
